چکیده

ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect exogenous amylase on gas production, in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD), and digestion kinetics sorghum (Sorghum vulgaris) two corn hybrids different grain textures. Ruminal fluid collected from rumen-fistulated cows receiving or not (0.7g kg-1 (DM basis)), provided achieve 396 kilo Novo units for activity basis). Gas production measured after 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 30, 36, 42 e 48 hours incubation. Amylase increased (mL) by 5.4%. Corn have higher than sorghum. Exogenous potential (A) (P=0.01). There an hybrid IVDMD (P<0.01). addition increases improves fermentation kinetics, ammonia nitrogen grains, but does affect short-chain fatty acids production.

Slow-release amylase increases in vitro ruminal digestion of maize and sorghum grain

_____________________________________________________________________________ Abstract The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of slow-release α-amylase in ruminal in vitro digestion of maize and sorghum grains. Digestibility was measured using an in vitro procedure with 40 mL of buffer and 10 mL of ruminal fluid, flushed with CO2 and incubated at 39 °C. The digestibility of sor...

Digestibility and ruminal digestion kinetics of corn silage

The in situ dry matter (DM) disappearance of corn silages in two maturity stages (milk grain and half milk line) of known in vivo and in vitro digestibility was determined, with the main purpose of comparing digestibility values with the ruminal disappearance at 24 and 48h of incubation. A secondary goal was the description of their ruminal digestion kinetics, from which the effective degradabi...

The Effect of Processing of Corn Silage with Schizophyllum Commune on Chemical Composition, Ruminal Degradability and in Vitro Gas Production

Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: To overcome the problems caused by animal feed shortages, efforts are made to increase the availability of nutrients and their digestibility, such as improving the nutritional value of forage plants through biological processing. Schizophyllum commune is an edible fungus of the basidiomycete’s family that has been used for biological processing of ...

Effects of electron beam, NaOH and urea on chemical composition, phenolic compounds, in situ ruminal degradability and in vitro gas production kinetics of pistachio by-products

The current study evaluated the effects of electron beam (EB; 10, 20, 30 and 40 kGy), urea and NaOH treatments on chemical composition, phenolic compounds, in vitro gas production and in situ ruminal degradability of pistachio by-product (PB). The EB decreased (p < 0.01) neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber (ADF) and acid detergent lignin (ADL) contents...

In vitro evaluation of aflatoxin B1 effect on gas production and ruminal fermentation parameters

Background: Aflatoxins are fungal secondary metabolites negatively affecting ruminant performance; however, little information is available on their impact on rumen fermentation. Aims: This study aimed at determining the effects of different concentrations of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) from Aspergillus flavus on in vitro gas production and ruminal fe...
